Becoming A Vendor

Hello potential future vendor! Before you read any further, please answer this question:

Do you make, bake or grow your own product?

Did you answer yes?  If so please continue with the application process. If you answered no, we’ll have to stop you there. As a member of the BC Association of Farmers’ Markets, we only accept vendors who make, bake, grow or raise their own product.

Great! An online application form for vendors and community groups is available via the link at the bottom of this page. If you are interested in busking at our market please email our market manager

Applications for the 2024 Outdoor Market Season are open.

The Saturday Market runs from the 2nd last Saturday in April to end of October, 8:30 PM - 12:30 PM.  The Wednesday Market runs from the beginning of May to end of October, 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM.

Market dates for the 2024 Outdoor Market season are:

Saturdays - April 20th to Oct 26th

Wednesdays - May 1st to Oct 30th

We strive to remain at the forefront of environmental responsibility, and so we are banning vendors from using plastic grocery bags at their booths. Cloth, paper, or certified compostable bags are acceptable. Vendors are permitted to purchase Farmers’ Market-branded bags or other cloth bags and resell them.

Please review the Market Regulations to ensure that the market is an appropriate fit for your business. We also have a map of our area boundaries (below), which can be referenced in conjunction with the boundaries on the market regulations.

If you are interested in selling fruit, vegetables, eggs, meat, fish, crafts or prepared food that you have grown, raised, caught, made, or baked yourself please fill out the Vendor application by clicking on “Vendor Applications” below. If you would like to join us as a community group or busker, please read the regulations and then click on the relevant link below to apply.

Boundary Map

  • From Clearwater to the intersection of Notch Hill Road and Highway 1 in Sorrento.

  • The boundary then goes south to the edge of Falkland’s western limit on Highway 97.

  • Then from Falkland to the Merritt town sign on Highway 5.

  • Then in a northerly direction to the Cache Creek limit and Highway 1

  • Straight back north to the edge of Clearwater.

Note: the towns of Cache Creek, Clearwater, Sorrento, Falkland and Merritt are considered out-of-area. The boundaries extend to the town limits. The current boundaries were established in 1998, based on the boundaries of other community markets. The rules and regulations were clarified so that any farms who had originally assisted with the market viability since its inception were allowed to stay as special permission vendors as long as the business stayed the same.

Vendor Fee Schedule (Per 10' Space)

After a review of our finances and an examination of the fees at other markets, it was determined that the Kamloops Regional Farmers’ Market would implement a fee increase for 2024 of Saturday Market Fees, in order to cover rising costs of operation. This increase applies to seasonal and daily fees of the Saturday markets.  Wednesday Market fees remain the same to continue to build vendor attendance to this market day.

Applications

Applications are reviewed monthly during the outdoor season, and this means it can take up to four weeks to process your application. You can submit your application online, but we still need a signed Vendor Contract from all vendors. Your application will not be considered complete until we have received all required parts (contract and market fees for seasonal vendors or just contract for daily vendors).
